SEVILLE- There is a new brood of up-and-coming ducks at Parque de María Luisa, in Seville, Spain. March 2022 came with lots of Rain, but it hasn’t stopped the ducklings from hatching. The new ducks are exciting for regular park goers and newcomers alike.

After two days of visiting the ducks there were some familiar faces at the pond, both ducks and spectators. The ducklings tended to stick together while the mature ducks wattled around individually and slept through the day. There was a steady group of people there to observer the fresh ducks.

The excitement of new life, on an increasingly rare sunny day in Seville, adds to the excitement of this annual cycle.

Mother duck keeps watch over her ducklings, tourist could be lurking around any corner.
A trio of ducklings are perched by the water’s edge, taking a break from swimming laps around the pond.
The duking’s come in multiple color variations, ranging from bright yellow, to dark brown and mixed. Typically ducklings darken with age. A group of ducklings is often known as a string, because of the line they form while surfing their mothers’ waves. This makes for more efficient paddling.
The flock attracts many people who come to feed, admire and interact with the birds.
Some people come so frequently to feed the birds they are swarmed on arrival. The birds don't stop and follow them away from the pond.
